Vineela and Shashi
One of the best things about being a photographer in Arizona is being able to schedule an outdoor session whenever you want! So, when I scheduled Vineela and Shashi's maternity session, I didn't bother to check the weather.
I left my house and cheered to myself when I saw all the clouds; overcast days are few and far between here in AZ, but are a photographer's dream because they diffuse the harsh, desert sun that we get daily. About 15 minutes before our session, water started falling from the sky (I think it's called "rain" in some parts), and I was almost going to call and see if we should reschedule.
Luckily, by the time they arrived, not only had the drizzle stopped, but the clouds moved enough to provide some blue skies. When Vineela rounded the corner of the park, I couldn't help but have a big smile. She looked beautiful in her red gown, and Shashi looked very handsome in his blue pants. I love bold colors so I was in heaven.
We got some wonderful shots of them in these outfits in the park, and then once they changed, we took some others by the beautiful fountain in the middle of the square. Not only did we capture these images in one of my favorite places, but they made my job so easy! Between their carefully chosen outfits, and their easy-going attitudes, it was hardly any work!
My favorite part was directing them to hold hands, look at each other, or "give a smooch" and capturing the love between them. Most of these are "between poses" and I love these because they're more authentic.
Vineela and Shashi, thank you for letting me do your maternity pictures, and I'm so excited for you to add to your family. Vineela, you're a beautiful, glowing mother and your little boy-to-be is extremely lucky!
